I usually love this podcast and was very interested in this topic. But after listening to most of this episode, I was left wondering what is actually safe to eat! According to Dr. Gundry, I need to move to Europe, make friends with the farmers there, stop eating fish (except for squid) and only eat beef maybe once a month if I’m feeling lucky. I have to credit Jesse with trying to nail down Dr. Gundry to provide some real answers for the average joe who is trying to live a healthier life. Dr. Gundry is great at explaining everything that is wrong with Big Food, but short on solutions. I think we can all agree there is no perfect diet. But Dr. Gundry seems to let perfect be the enemy of good. I eventually tuned out, feeling a little hopeless about Dr. Gundry’s defeatist attitude.

Well, this was certainly interesting! Though I am seldom in agreement with Dr. Gundry, if he is correct about the vast majority of meat, meat products and bone broth, then he has punched some serious holes in the ardent positions of the carnivore and keto folks. I’d love to see a debate between Gundry and Shawn Baker.
