Not sure how much you can trust what he’s saying.
Addiction typically includes elements of tolerance, withdrawal, and compulsive use despite negative consequences, which may not be as straightforward with sugar.
Also, he was absolutely confused around fructose glucose found in nature (fruit vs legumes). Good job on set him against that!
There’re other things that he says are not entirely correct…

Can we get a link (or at least which year the paper was published) to the paper he mentions called “The True Purpose of Nutrition” with the World Economic Forum? I can’t find anything on their website with that title.
